Early Head Start

Total Community Action, Inc's Early Head Start Program is a comprehensive high quality program that promotes the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development of infants and toddlers through developmentally appropriate practice as well as pre/postnatal education and support services to pregnant women.

The Early Head Start Program serves infants, toddlers and pregnant women in center based and family child care homes. Total Community Action, Inc., the grantee, operates one Early Head Start center with a funded enrollment of 24 infants and toddlers and pregnant women. The grantee also employs an Infant/Toddler Specialist, a Nurse and a Family Services Worker to provide overall coordination and guidance to the Early Head Start Program.
